Welcome to Harlow (Blackwater) Sailing Club

About the Club

We are a friendly club, positively welcoming new members, whether novices or world champions. We aim to cater for all sailing tastes with our active dinghy, cruiser and windsurfing sections. Formed some 50 years ago by sailors from the Harlow area, we are situated at Maylandsea on Lawling Creek, off the tidal River Blackwater. We're about 25 minutes drive from Chelmsford and 10 minutes from Maldon.

Social

We hold evening and day events throughout the year, often coinciding with a special race meeting or occasion. (See Social for list). These events are normally shown on the Social Notice board by the Galley and also the website. We have a fully stocked bar which is open during the season and a galley serving hot and cold snacks during all dinghy racing events. Our newsletter is published about 4 times a year and we hope you will contribute to it by sending news items to our publicity officer.
